Orioles receive:
P Kevin Siegrist, STL
3B Jeimer Candelario, CHC
OF Tyrone Taylor, MIL

Baltimore accepts.  Colon has had a very nice season so far, but he isn't a part of my plans for next season.  It only makes sense for me to move him and get prospects back to keep building my future.  I just hope Candelario gets a fair shot at a position in a very crowded cubs lineup or he gets dealt near the deadline or in the offseason, since the cubs could use some pitching help.  Either way, I like the talent and hope I can use it.  Taylor helps me as I am in need of more OFs right now.  Siegrist is mostly a throw in, but he has a high K potential and I like that in my RPs.

Dodgers accept. Colon gives me a consistent P to add to my rotation where as some of my young guys have struggled lately. Candelario is a good looking prospect and could be a contributor for the Orioles as early as next season. Thanks for the deal Mike.

Baltimore will place Candelario on the 40 man roster, upon acquisition, and will release C Stryker Trahan, ARI, to make room for Tyrone Taylor.
