Seattle receives Steven Strasburg SP Wash (boston pays 19 salary)
Boston receives pick 1.8 2019 draft pick 1.11 2019 draft
Strasburg is a stud and should have 4-6 more good years in him. My cap was high last year and its probably going to get higher so trading for some future value makes sense to me. Winning last year made this trade easier to accept and I have had a good 3 year run. Not giving up this year, but i'm in 4th place right now and trading away a couple of veteran pieces seems like the right thing to do for me. thanks Matt for the deal.

Mariners accept. This year is probably a lost cause for me still, but I jumped at the possibility of adding an Ace that I can tag for the next 3 years when I’m looking to compete again. I had some extra draft capital that I was willing to move, so this deal made a ton of sense for me.
