Marcus Stroman P TOR (Mariners pay his 2019 contract)

White Sox give:
Max Scherzer P WSH (White Sox pay his 2019 contract)
Patrick Corbin P WSH (White Sox pay his 2019 contract)

Mariners accept. Whole lot of layers to this deal and a couple weeks worth of negotiations. I get two of the best pitchers in the game (which i think was the missing link on my team), and I also have the roster flexibility to be able to tag Max and pay Corbin as well in order to compete next year too. I get Lora who was someone I was trying to trade back into the 2nd to get as well, and the 5th is just a lotto ticket. Obviously from my end i'm giving a lot, but Stroman is outperforming his peripherals, Freelands success seemed like a flash in the pan, Garcia is short, Dunn has to deal with the Sog in Seattle, Luciano is still a baby, and the pick will hopefully be late once I win it all now. At least those are all of the things i'm telling myself haha. Best of luck with all of those guys Mike, there's a ton of potential talent there and it hurts losing my prized prospects, but prospects don't win penants.
