Jacob DeGrom P NYM
giving up a lot of top picks for a top 5 pitcher with one year left before FA...but, it’s better than any SP on FAA...thx Cubs ..I know this will help for your rebuild...

How does DeGrom Go for that little . Pick 14/20 and 2 2nd rd picks .
No top spect or good MLB players . (or even a top pick ) crazy.

Well he is in last year of semi cheap control before his salary goes up above 20mil, while true seems to be light in return, but not really that far off in value.

Way I see it, Cubs basically got 4 IRl 1st round prospects for a guy he wouldn’t be resigning next season anyways considering he’ll be a 25 M guy. 2-0

I know I'm new and still gauging everything out... but:
1) My inherited farm system SUCKS
2) I had ZERO picks in rounds 1-3 this year
3 I need to rebuild a team I LIKE .. not keep everyone just because... I am NOT a Ketsl Marte fan at all.. but I'll keep him because he is cheap for now
