First off, I want to say thanks to Walt for working with me through some lengthy and sometimes tough negotiations. We have been bouncing ideas back and forth for quite some time now.
Washington gets: Stephen Strasburg Dylan Bundy Hunter Harvey
Baltimore gets: Jon Harris Alex Reyes Francis Martes Nick Plummer Chris Shaw
It's never easy to part ways with pitching talent like Strasburg and the potential that Bundy and Harvey possess, but I guess I just have a hunch on this one. This will probably prime Walt for a back-to-back run and push my chances back a year, but I think that the 5 prospects I'm getting back meet all of my most important needs and offer players that will all make it to the bigs. Thanks again, Walt.

I accept this trade. We have been discussing Strasburg for about a month now and Bundy since he took over the team haha. I think Mike used my fandom against me by throwing in Harvey to get a little bit extra. I like this deal because I feel I'm consolidating 5 prospects into 3 elite, albeit fragile, arms with 2 who will be in the majors this season. I see Strasburg having a Cy Young caliber season next year and if Bundy and Harvey turn it around they're elite. It's hard to part with 3 top 100 prospects and 2 other players I targeted in the MiLB draft but that's the price of doing business. With the completion of this trade I think I've traded away my entire draft class haha. Thanks for the negotiations Mike and I hope this trade works out for the both of us!

I just dont understand this from BAL's point of view. You're giving away the best MLB player AND the best minor league player in this deal. I understand wanting depth but you need stars as well and I think you're giving up a couple. But, what do i know.

At this point, Alex Reyes is definitely the best minor league talent since he's probably a top 25 prospect while Bundy has tumbled in the rankings. Kiley McDaniel had Martes in approaching his top 50 before he left fangraphs so I'd say he got a fair amount of quality as well as quantity

lol, I know I'm not a mod anymore, but really??? Harvey and Bundy are at least the 2nd and 3rd best prospects in this deal. Harris, PLummber and Shaw are unknowns, not really worth much IMO honestly. I can find prospects on the same level off the minor league free agency. If you took out Strasburg from the deal you would have more of a fair trade then with him in it. This is a classic, over rating prospects that might not even make it to the majors for all star caliber talent.
I guess no one will have a chance to win in this league until Walt decides to stop fleecing people in trades. Harsh but the truth.

Upon further discussion, this trade is deemed fair for both sides. Both sides get what they want. Mike wanting to get pitching that isn't injured with the potential to help his starting pitching in the near future. Walt gets a POTENTIAL Cy young caliber pitcher with arm and consistency issues. Both teams wanted this deal. If both teams agree without collusion, than I cannot say anything other than I approve
