The Orioles propose the following trade to the Pirates:
Orioles offer:
Manny Machado
Luke Weaver
Trevor Williams
Marcus Wilson
Pirates offer:
Tyler Glasnow
Clint Frazier
Austin Meadows
Odubel Herrera
3rd round pick (43rd overall)
3rd round pick (55th overall)
Baltimore accepts. I realize that I'm moving a big player that is ranked in the top 10 of preseason fantasy polls, but I feel confident that I am getting back three players that have impact potential in the next 2-3 years. Weaver, Williams, and Wilson are included to make enough room on my minors roster for the incoming prospects. This is exactly what I've been hoping for since I began to shop Machado. Pirates have been great in negotiations, and very understanding as we went through several day/weeks of talks and contemplation as we got this deal finalized. Thanks again, Bill.
